Distribution Open Call 2024

Do you have a film that you recently completed or have almost completed? Are you looking for support to navigate the festival circuit and distribution as a whole? Are you looking to join a thriving community of filmmakers and film professionals?

What we are looking for:
- Short films (under 30 minutes). 
- Films that are finished or in the very last stages of post-production. Films finished in 2023 or 2024, but haven’t yet been shown are admissible.
- We are looking for films that have not yet debuted on any festival circuit and don’t have a clear festival strategy or distribution plan yet.
- The genre is not a limiting factor. Independent Documentaries, Animation, Experimental/Video Art and non-narrative Fiction films are all welcome.
- The level of experience is irrelevant. We are looking to support fledgling filmmakers as well as more established makers.
- Student films are welcome.
- Dutch as well as International submissions are welcome. Where the film was made is not a criterion.
- We want to see films that showcase a unique and personal approach. We are looking for films that embrace experimentation and possess a strong point of view.
- We are looking to help filmmakers who work independently, outside of larger industrial or financial support networks. Therefore, films with a large production budget will not be considered.
-We are looking for filmmakers with open hearts and open minds who are interested in a collaborative experience and transparent communication.

What we are not looking for:
- Mid-length or Feature
- Films in pre-production, production or very early stages of production. Please check out our pitch opportunities if that applies to your project.
- Commissioned or commercial films.
- Promotional videos.
- Narrative fiction, traditional documentary or animation.
- Films already receiving support from another organisation. 

Video Power is looking for new projects to support with distribution. From May 1st to May 31st, 2024, we invite you to send us your films for consideration.
