TIME TRAVELLER
A film by Johannes Langkamp
2018 | 1 min | Digital Video | Color | Stereo | 25fps
In Time Traveller a paper airplane, held in place by a massive concrete hand, travels through a nightly sky. Paradoxes like these characterise the work of Johannes Langkamp. Playing with visual techniques, he reveals how human perception works and what it takes for granted. The timelapse in “Time Traveller” is a nod to the invention of the telescope and the resulting shift from a geocentric to a heliocentric world view.
